How we got these numbers
The HailAFare Promise
Every licensed ride in Manhattan, one screen, ranked by price — with the time we checked. Live prices from our partners are marked LIVE. Uber and Lyft do not share live prices with anyone, so we show you our estimate and a range built from millions of real New York trips, and a one-tap "Verify live" button that opens their app with your trip filled in. If we ranked it wrong, tell us. Every report makes the next estimate better, and we publish our accuracy every Friday.
